Introduction
About
the QCCP
The Qualification Council for Cosmetic Procedures (QCCP) have developed a suite of competency based qualifications in aesthetic medicine that are regulated by the Royal Society For Public Health (RSPH).
This qualification model is the first of its kind in this field and it has been established to provide an accessible route for practitioners and training providers to obtain and deliver regulated qualifications that will transform the landscape of aesthetic medicine.
Each qualification is regulated and awarded by Britain’s longest established and most esteemed body for public health, the RSPH.
The prestigious awards will provide tangible differentiation between competent healthcare professionals who can evidence their knowledge and skills vs those who cannot.
For experienced practitioners, the qualifications offer a direct route to validate competency and the pre-assessment process enables those on their journey to competency to identify learning needs and choose from a list of RSPH accredited training centres to ensure the training they receive is delivered in line with RSPH/QCCP curriculums.
Professionals embarking on training have a clear framework and standard curriculum which covers what they NEED to know in order to be safe and competent; a route map that lays it all before them yet gives them the freedom to achieve learning goals in a variety of ways.
This ground-breaking model removes the time and monetary barriers that have discouraged practitioners from undertaking the university and level 7 awards.
What Makes The QCCP Different?
Regulated Validation
The RSPH regulated qualifications enable practitioners to demonstrate that they are competent which is useful and reassuring to insurers and statutory regulators and for revalidation also.
Experienced Practitioners
Practitioners are able to determine whether they are able to meet the required competency standards by completing the free online pre-qualification assessments.
Beginners
Practitioners now have a clear framework and standard curriculum which covers what they NEED to know in order to be safe and competent; a route map that lays it all before them yet gives them the freedom to achieve learning goals in a variety of ways.
RSPH Approved Training Centres
Professionals can access training from RSPH approved training providers so they no longer have to rely on the brand marketing and discover when it’s too late the course failed to deliver as promised.
Consistent Level of Learning
Training now follows a comprehensive competency framework that leads to the regulated examination rather than the existing ‘see one do one’ industry standard.
Accessible & Cost Effective
Level 7 awards and MSc’s continue to be recognised but cost and time no longer act as a barrier for practitioners to gain regulated qualifications. The exams cost just £200 + VAT each and take 2 hours to complete.
Prestigious
The qualifications are regulated and awarded by The RSPH, a highly respected and long established society with The Queen as patron.
The Platform
The examination platform is hosted by OCB Media who have been delivering digital education interventions and e-learning to the healthcare sector for over 20 years. Their clients include; Health Education England and The NHS.
Inclusive
Any training provider may apply for centre approval via the RSPH to teach the standard curriculum for this examination. The criteria is not prohibitive and the fees are fair and reasonable.
